Cup of Joe

Here are a few letters, photos and emails we've received from soldiers you've sent coffee to:

I am writing to you on this day in hopes this e-mail finds you well. Please allow me this opportunity to thank you for the package you thoughtfully sent. The Ordnance Marines and I are very appreciative of the support we receive from people much like your self. The packages help the morale of our Marines - the young ones who are on their first deployment, as well as the not-so-young "seasoned ones" like myself.

We are proud of the work we do and are proud to serve the United States and her citizens. Everyday, military personnel eat, sleep and dream of protecting our country and its people - it is in our blood. At times, we do get discouraged simply because we watch the news and see all of the negativity broadcasted, so letters and packages from kind people like you help us realize our work is not in vain - that our work is appreciated. We are not of one political background, not of one religious belief, not of one race - we are, however, one group of United States Marines who are proud to serve you and our Country.

Thank you, my friend, for taking time to think of us. We are aware of the time and financial aspect to sending your kind gifts. We truly do appreciate the sign of support and patriotism. May God bless you and yours.

Give out a big HOOAH to your company for Cup O' Joe program and how proud we are to be serving for the greatest country & people in the world---The United States of America.

Thanks for your support and care that you share with these troops both young and old. Deployment is a long and arduous event much less when you have to shoot at people on top of many months away, your kindness is well received and coveted, while helping to keep the troops morale up with positive support vice the negative stuff that you hear on CNN! It also allows us to have some good coffee.

i just received my coffee through the cup o joe for a soldier program and wanted to say thank you for your support.  i am a MEDEVAC Team Leader and pilot and am responsible for 14 soldiers and two Blackhawk Helicopters.  With our around-the-clock schedules we can always use a cup o' joe.  thanks again for your support!
Sincerely,
1LT Scott Sorquist

I can not thank you enough.  Coffee is our lifeblood over here and I personally have heard nothing but good things from the guys who have had your coffee.  I can't wait to try it! I would like to extent my unit's gratitude and appreciation to you and all your employees at Bad Ass Coffee, as well as all of the donations from your customers, for the support you have given us over here.  We have spread the word on our end about the Cup O' Joe program.  God Bless and Thank You.

Many THANKS!  The best and easiest way to get the goods to the guys in the fight every night is to send it here and when the planes come in we will put a case or so for each of the forward operating bases.  As I stated before, some of these guys only get re-supply by airdrop.

We definitely appreciate the support from back home.  As a "company address" you can use the following for the invoice:

"SPECIAL OPERATIONS LIAISON ELEMENT"
C/O Lt Col Ken Denman

A total of 50 bags would be awesome.  We will send 25 bags to each of our forward bases and let them disperse them to the different elements within their control.  Again, thanks for the support of our troops in contact as they continue to carry the fight forward.

Fly Safe,
Ken

Nothing like a Bad Ass Cup o== Joe in the morning! Thank you for the donation and your support of the troops! I received my bag of Full City Roast today. I==m deployed with a shop full of coffee drinkin== Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen and Marines who work some long hours. This will definitely hit the spot!
Sincerely,
Don Cicotte
Captain, U.S. Marines

Please tell everyone at Bad Ass Coffee how much we appreciate the support from your company. Your generosity is being noticed not only by those here but those we tell how wonderful you are back home!!
I even sent my husband an email suggesting he try ordering your coffee, rather than Gevalia, since he loved the Hawaiian coffee when we visited there about a year ago and can order online. I had never heard of your company until a Navy brother told us about this company program to support us (troops) with coffee.
Thanks again for remembering those of us overseas. We really appreciate getting a good cup o== joe.
God bless you all,
Darenda

At home (Tennessee) all I drink is diet mt dews, diet dews can not be found in this country. Again thanks for your support. This is a thanks from the 913th Engineer Company, Tennessee. Go Vols.

We have received the shipment of coffee and it is all in good condition. We are splitting the shipment into two separate boxes and will ship them out to our guys in Iraq and Afghanistan tomorrow morning. They will definitely be excited to receive this coffee. As you know, a good cup of coffee makes the rest of the world go away, if only for a momentYYand these boys need that relief more than most of us.
We appreciate your kind gift as well as those kind donations of your other contributors. I will ensure a AAthank you@@ email is forwarded to all the contributors in which you sent return email addresses.
For all the men and women of the Armed Forces, thank you for your support to our national defense!!!

We sure appreciate your support.  This is the best kind of support system I have come across.  When I get back home I will make sure I become a donor.  Thanks Again.

Out here in Al Asad, Iraq we have a cafe called "Green Bean Coffee", but it is no substitute for the wonderful coffee blends you offer.  I found out about your company through a fellow Marine when he sent me your donation link.  I am not sure if the American public will ever truly understand the appreciation we service members feel when you all make the gestures you do in taking time, not only to think of us, but also to contribute to our small pleasures.

We are truly grateful to have persons like you all thinking of us.
Thank you very much and we will be sure to enjoy the coffee =0)

Semper Fidelis,
1stLt Aixa Dones

I would like to take this time and thank you for your coffee, I'm currently deployed in Iraq. In support of the war on terroism and your coffee has helped us out along the way. The taste is smooth and good. thanks agiain Sincerely, Paul Skinner

Again, thank you very much. The Marines here at Marine Aircraft Group 16 (Reinforced) will be happy to receive good coffee. I have a friend over at MWSS-272 that absolutely LOVES your stuff. I would think it is more because of your name (he is a real guys-guy, mucho macho type), so the whole "Bad Ass" names makes him feel even better about his cup of Joe =0)
Take care and thank you very much again for your and the company's support!
Semper fidelis,
Aixa

Thank you for such a generous act. This base is a major R&R spot for troops coming out of Iraq and other points north. There are several of us who will share our blessings with those guys at the R&R center. They deserve good coffee and we will just help out a bit!

Aloha,

Thanks again and we really appreciate what you're doing for the troops. I'm really looking forward to some new coffee, not just the regular joe you get in the chow hall! I'll be intouch throughout the deployment, we're busy here. I attatched a photo of us, wish we were on an island instead of this desert.

Thank you for the support, it truly makes a difference to those of us who have volonteered for this duty, as it is an honor.

I just returned from R & R back to Minnesota.  I had a wonderful visit.  I noticed a significant increase in support for our troops since I left home a year ago.  Americans are doing a good job supporting us and thanking the men and women in uniform.  I look forward to brewing the coffee from you and my donor.

Sincerely,
